Check Conversion Program- Traditional Paper Check Guarantee No Check Reader Required, but it can't hurt.
The Check Conversion Program is really the simpliest and most cost efficient of the Check Programs that are offered by AMG. While this program may be the most cost efficient, it lacks some of the luster as some of the other programs have. With this program, the merchant is required to do alittle more work for transactions to be deposited correctly and in a timely manner.
With this Check Processing Program, a Check Reader is NOT required but it most certainly does help. Also, with this program, merchants and their employees need to be more cautious of check-givers as compared to the other programs which are a bit more leniant.
Step-By-Step
1. Merchant will key in check information and driver’s license # and amount
of sale.
(Merchant has option of using a check reader to read check)
2. Terminal will dial out and issue a decline or approval.
3. If approved, merchant will write all required information on paper check.

4. Merchant will stamp check and ask check writer to initial.
5. Merchant will deposit check into bank account.
6. If check is returned, the merchant’s bank will forward check to Check
Processing Company.
7. Check Processing Company will pay merchant the face value of the
check within 30 days of receipt of claim.
