OVERVIEW

The i7780 is the next generation Ingenico Bluetooth portable payment terminal following the world leading success of the i7770. Utilising the Ingenico Unicapt™ 32 bit architecture the i7780 provides the merchant with the most cost effective, flexible secure payment transaction solution in the market. It supports a multi acquirer approved EFT application with capacity for additional revenue streams through value added services.

The Ingenico 7780 is the ideal “pay at the table” solution. Thanks to Bluetooth, merchants gain full mobility within their premises in total security. The Ingenico 7780
creates a simple and cost-effective WLAN to connect multiple terminals to the
same base.

DESIGN

Designed to be used by both the merchant for transaction processing and customer for PIN entry, the EMV 4.1 approved i7780 offers an ergonomic user friendly light weight design bringing complete mobility to the Hospitality and Retail Merchant.

FEATURES

• Fast service: with its Bluetooth WLAN features, its quiet and fast printer (easy-loading mechanism) and its long card swipe for optimal reading, the i7780 reduces the total cost of a transaction and speeds up payment, giving a better service to the customer.

• Long life battery: the removable Li-Ion or NiMh battery pack enables you to use the i7780 for up to 200 transactions, giving you enough power to cover a complete shift.

• Convenience: in addition to the large backlit display, i7780 offers you a light
and ergonomic solution to make the payment process easy and efficient
for the hospitality staff.

• Flexibility: the wide range of base communications (v22bis, v29 fast, v34, ISDN
and Ethernet) enables the i7780 to be used in any kind of environment.

• Complete payment portability for up to 200 m (600 ft) away from the base.

• Reduced setup costs: up to 7 handsets can connect to a single base.

• With independently verified 128 bit encryption of Bluetooth data, it offers
the most secure radio communication available in a payment device.

SECURITY

Supporting Pay@Table, the i7780 Bluetooth payment terminal enables you
to pay wherever you are within your premises with all the security provided
by Ingenico’s High Security Core and UNICAPTTM.

• The integrated High Security Core (HSC) has been developed from years
of experience by Ingenico, the world leader in POS security. It offers different
levels of security, meeting the most demanding requirements for payment
transactions (PCI PED, ZKA…). It has a 32-bit processor to support powerful
encryption (RSA, DES, 3DES…), thus ensuring confidential data is secure.

• Multi application security is provided by UNICAPTTM technology permitting
several applications to run independently on the same device. An additional
benefit is the portability of previously written applications for Ingenico terminals.
